Leonora Jakupi (born on 3 March 1978 in Srbica, Kosovo, Yugoslavia), an ethnic Albanian, is one of the most popular commercial singers among Albanians in Kosovo, Albania, Macedonia and Montenegro.
Today Leonora lives in Kosovo's capital Priština. She lost her father during the Kosovo war (1998-1999); he was killed by the Yugoslav security forces. Her repertoire includes a wide variety of material including commercial pop and patriotic songs. She is not married.
Her most popular song, without any doubt[citation needed], is “Can innocence be killed?” (A vritet pafajsia?) published in 1998 while Leonora was a war refugee in Albania. She dedicated the song to her father and other Albanians who died during the Kosovo war.
